Our Installation Process

Step 1: Headliner Removal

The factory headliner is carefully removed from the vehicle. This requires experience and patience - headliner boards are fragile and the clips and trim pieces that hold them in place must be removed without damage.

Step 2: Strand Threading

Each fiber optic strand is individually threaded through the headliner fabric from the back side. The strands are positioned to create a natural, random-looking star pattern with varying density across the surface. This is the most time-intensive step and requires precision - each strand must penetrate the fabric at the correct angle and be trimmed flush on the visible side.

Step 3: Light Engine Mounting

The LED light source is mounted in a secure, hidden location and connected to the fiber optic bundle. Wiring is routed cleanly through existing channels and connected to a switched power source.

Step 4: Reinstallation and Testing

The headliner is carefully reinstalled with all trim, clips, and panels returned to their factory positions. The system is tested through all modes and brightness levels to confirm proper operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it damage my headliner?

No. The fiber optic strands are extremely thin and create pinhole-sized openings in the fabric. When the system is off, the headliner looks completely stock. If you ever want the system removed, the pinholes are virtually invisible.

Does it work with sunroofs?

Yes. We work around sunroof openings and frames, installing strands on the available headliner surface. The star effect around a moonroof is particularly striking.

How long does installation take?

Does it drain my battery?
